Individual Counselling

There are many different ways of counselling and practitioners all have their own version of different modalities of work.

I define counseling as working with you to resolve past or current painful situations, beliefs, behaviors and/or self-talk.

Healing starts to happen when there is trust and genuine care.

The best counsellor for you is the one that you feel comfortable with sharing your deepest self to. The one who can really hear you and focus on your strengths and abilities to work with you to find your unique success strategy, based on your values and needs.

Over the years I have studied many methods of counseling and other healing modalities.  My method of counseling is a ‘house blend’ of a number of counseling techniques including, narrative therapy and strength based practice, Systemic Family Constellations, NLP and other life coaching techniques and strategies.

What makes counseling unique is the fact that we are working at freeing you of pain from the past or present situation through powerful discussions about where you are now and where you want to be in the future.  The past is often what holds us back from creating the present that we are seeking.

With counseling we find the things that are holding you back and manage or resolve them so that you can take confident steps ahead.

I find that there can be a seamless transition from counseling to life coaching.  Counseling starts with a focus on the past and how you got to where you are today. Life coaching can help you design and create the future you desire.
